Chit was my squirrel character on TFF. He was basically an import from alt.devilbunnies -- the story being that a bunch of squirrels, pursued and persecuted by the rabbits that kept them as slaves, built a rocket and flew off into space, leaving Earth behind. Then crashlanded on TFF. Their spaceship, embedded in the ground, was turned into a museum, and squirrel park was built on top of it as a memorial.
Near the end of TFF, there was a horrible tinyplot where my character, my city, and my will to ever RP on MUCKs again were all shattered by a powergaming nanite-slinger. So I went away to play Everquest for a while, and when I got back TFF was gone.
Eventually, Spindizzy came around, but I didn't feel like playing as Chit anymore -- I'd switched over to 'Terry' on Furtoonia. Terry (aka Terrycloth, although his real name was 'Terrence Christopher Weaselman') was a mostly-ferret from a world that was a combination of Ninja High School and S. Andrew Swann's Moreau stories. He'd volunteered for an off-planet job working for the Salusians (under a contract tantamount to slavery) on FurToonia, but the job fell through (the company no longer existed by the time his shuttle arrived) and he was forced to live off government handouts (you got free pennies every time you used 'wf'). He couldn't get home because, as far as he could tell, he wasn't in the same universe as he'd started in, and there were a virtually unlimited number of possible destinations that sounded a LOT like his homeworld and were all named 'Earth'.
So, to bring him to Spindizzy, the story was that Squirrel City was destroyed in the (server) crash, but its shattered, haunted fragments ended up on or incorporated into Spindizzy somehow. Chit's ghost went and found Terry on Furtoonia (they'd been pen-pals) and told him to go to Spindizzy to look after the other squirrels (chiefly, Tuesday) and maybe get revenge.
Not having anything better to do, Terry copied himself (using a chaos-induced netsplit and some Wellworld-like 'physics') and sent the copy to Spindizzy. Or maybe the original. There was some argument on that point, but at any rate one of them lost the coin flip and had to go.
Once there he 'discovered' and 'explored' (aka 'built') Squirrel Park and the ruins underneath. I had an archive of the original Squirrel City, but it had been destroyed anyway before I left... so I basically rebuilt it as an obstacle course. }:P Then he got bored of doing Chit's errands and neglected any further duties, preferring instead to play around with chaos and pokemon and transformation, which had always been a hobby of his ever since he'd unlocked the ability.
And managed to transform away his ability to transform, by accident -- it turned out he'd only had the ability because of his demon familiar, which once turned into a pokemon could no longer do that for him. Later on he had Seth teach him how to use witchy-magic to turn into a dragon, and was a thaumavore for a while... then got himself killed somehow, and returned to life as an otter by Gilead... then got roboticized by Morticon... turned back into flesh somehow... cooked and eaten by Argon... raised as a skeleton by the pre-flubber contents of the fountain...
Being a skeleton sucked. So he/she/it (it varied a lot) took a sample of elastic coati, cultured it in a contained of marshmallow creme, and grew a marshmallow body to transfer its consciousness into, by the simple method of letting the blobby creature eat it. Since the blob was mindless, that left his personality and memories in sole control of the resulting combination, even if *technically* he'd just gotten himself destroyed again. Since he was already a copy of a copy of a copy, that didn't bother him much.
So, he was a marshmallow for a while, until the coonlective started hard-core recruitment, and he decided it was prudent to hide out for a while and interact through robotic drones.

Wow. I knew you'd been through a lot of bodies -- I remember back on FurToonia how you could be shape-shifted just by somebody waving his hands and saying ``Zah!'' at you -- but had no idea it was all that involved.
I completely missed the thaumavore and otter lifestyles.
